A MESSAGE FROM SCA, INC.
Hannah Baskets Would Like To Pass On The Following Message Sent To Us

As it gets colder outside we must not forget those who can't turn the dial on the thermostat for heat.  Hundreds of dogs in and around Orofino are tied and chained to trees, porches, sheds, even old cars.  These animals usually don't have adequate shelter and this can result in frostbite, illness, and sometimes even death.

SCA, Inc.  wants to encourage families with tethered/chained dogs to ask for help.  We will provide insulated dog houses, warm bedding, and even build fences and large dog runs for FREE.  We understand that many pet owners love their animals and want the best for them, but they just do not have the financial resources to provide appropriate shelter and yards for their dogs.  WE CAN HELP!  A quick phone call (476-7966) can mean the difference between a happy and healthy dog, and a dog that lives each long day and cold night alone on a chain.

Please help us spread the word about our new program!  All information gathered from applicants is confidential.  We can also make house calls - we will deliver pet food, bedding, dog houses and anything else families need in or near Orofino.

I have attached a picture of a dog named Ross that we are helping right now.  His owners gave us permission to show his picture so that we can give people an idea of what we are raising $ for.  He is chained to a rusty old car which he uses as his dog house.  We have already gotten him a big warm house and are saving money for fencing material to build a large yard.  We can always use donations of pet food, blankets, dog houses, building & fencing materials!  :)

Thanks for your support!
